Charonne Ruth

Charonne Ruth was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Pittsburgh. She studied Fine Art & Music in Boston and worked there for 7 years before emigrating to the UK.

Charonne holds a Masters in Creative Business from Duncan of Jordanstone, Scotland. After a long successful career in technology within the Arts sector in Scotland, Charonne decided to return to her love of the Arts full time and set up her own Glass Studio in Scotland in 2016.

Charonne formed a collaboration with a material scientist to investigate how to cast an apparently moving image inside solid glass, where elements invisible to us – light, refraction, movement – affect, shape and change what we see

Charonne exhibits her work in the US and UK where it is held in public and private collections. She has also been awarded Visual Arts and Crafts Maker in Scotland.
