Bob Guy (1947-2023)

Bob Guy was an artist, illustrator and printmaker living and working in the Cain Valley, Montgomeryshire. He specialised in wood engraving, a technique pioneered in the late 18th century by Thomas Bewick and revived in the 20th. He was an elected a member of the Society of Wood Engravers.

While showing nationally and internationally, Bob Guy was keen to maintain a strong connection with Wales and exhibited regularly at the National Eisteddfod with Y Lle Print Gwreiddiol/The Original Print Place, a group of printmakers associated with the Welsh Regional Print Centres.
