Babs Pease

Babs Pease is an artist living on a small farm near Rumbling Bridge in the lee of the Ochil Hills.

Having studied at Edinburgh University and the College of Art from 1983 – 1987, she has recently returned to full time painting and printmaking after taking a break to bring up her four children.

Living in the countryside has a big influence on her work, many of the themes and images are a direct response to the surrounding landscape and its varied flora and fauna. Along with painting  she has always been very interested in printmaking, particularly relief printing using wood and linoleum. She is a member of the Dunfermline Printmakers Workshop and regularly take part in Perthshire Open Studios.
