James Potter

James Potter lives in Edinburgh and travels around Scotland to capture the wonderful land and seascapes in his paintings. He enjoys the West coast, particularly Iona, with its white beaches.

He paints with very expressive brush marks and textures, which is an important element of his work. He also makes all of his own frames using the traditional water gilding techniques and 23ct gold, with interesting paint effects to compliment the painting.

James is a Royal portrait painter and official war artist.
